MPs to vote on national anthem for England
MPs are expected to vote later on the idea of England adopting an official national anthem.
God Save the Queen, the national anthem for the UK as a whole, is currently used for England during most sporting events.
However, Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins believes England needs its own anthem and the idea has the support of several campaigners.
Any suggestions?

I'd keep GSTQ, myself. But if they change it, then I'd vote for Jerusalem - although how that'd get cut down I have no idea.

GSTQ is about 35 seconds (the condensed version that we sing), which is plenty. Jerusalem is FAR slower and longer.

Once Jurasalem has been confirmed as the new English anthem, can we have a vote for English passports too?

How about using the name England more and seeing the St George flying before worrying about anthems

Must be the only country in the world that don't have its name or national flag flying at the airports

I'd keep God Save the Queen.

But if they had to change it, I suppose Jerusalem.
